Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do I get started with Creed Fitness?
Click the FREE INTRO button and fill out your information. One of our coaches will be in contact about setting up your first session (for free)!
2. What can I expect in my first few training sessions?
You will have the option to do an intro session where a coach will go over your goals and injury history, provide a mobility assessment, and then finish with a sample workout. If you would prefer, you can also hop straight into a group class. During your first few classes you can expect a blend of strength exercises, mobility movements, cardio circuits, and bodyweight workouts.
3. I haven't worked out in a long time. Am I even going to be able to make it through a class?
Yes! Beginners and veterans workout alongside one another at every group workout. Our workouts are designed in a way that allows beginners to get started safely without jumping back on the fitness wagon too fast.
4. I'm worried about holding back the class because I'm so out of shape. Is that something I should be worried about?
Absolutely not. Everyone at Creed works through the workout at their own pace. When you begin, you will use lighter weight, move a little slower, and take more rest than our more experienced members. As your fitness level improves, you will get stronger and complete the workouts faster with less rest required. One of the biggest benefits of Creed is the encouraging atmosphere you’ll experience. You are cheered on whether you’ve been with us for 5 years or 5 days!
5. I've got some joint issues (knee, back, shoulder) that I'm worried about. What should I do?
Most of our members at Creed are between 30-55 years old. Not many 30-55 year olds out there DON’T have some type of joint issue. Our coaches receive extensive training on how to modify exercises so that each and every member gets a great workout while protecting their joints.
6. I am primarily a runner. How can Creed workouts benefit me?
Most runners make the same mistake – they neglect strength training! Strength training will not only help you to run faster times, but it will speed up your metabolism and give you a more toned/defined body that running alone cannot accomplish.
7. How many workouts per week do you recommend?
We believe that beginners should start with 3 days/week. Anything less than that and we will probably both be frustrated by your fitness level plateauing. Once you’ve been in the program for 2-3 months, we recommend bumping it up to 4 days/week. You’ll notice a trend at Creed – the most fit people in our gym workout 4 or 5 days/week.
8. Price is a factor for me. Will I be able to afford Creed?
In the fitness industry, you get what you pay for. If you join a gym for $20-$50/month, the likelihood of success is less than 5%. Having a structured workout plan already written for you as well as a group of coaches and friends helping you succeed long term is invaluable. We are not the cheapest gym in town, but we offer the absolute best service, foster the most supportive community, and enjoy working hard to achieve a common goal. Together. Request an introduction and we’ll give you a free workout and detailed pricing information.
9. Are you a CrossFit gym?
We are not a CrossFit affiliate. While some of these styles of gyms do a good job with their classes, since there aren’t any requirements in these facilities, you may end up being put through workouts that are not right for your goals, or even worse – can cause serious injury. Our workouts are well thought out and structured in a way that actually puts your goals and safety as a top priority. Additionally, we put a premium on maintaining a healthy community and culture to workout in.
10. I have always wanted to try a group class, but am pretty intimidated. Is this normal?
After running Creed for over 15 years, this is one of the most common things we hear from someone interested in trying us out. Our introduction process is specifically designed to help make you feel comfortable and welcomed from the second you walk in our doors.
