Our Coaching Team

A little info about our expert coaches.

Clint Watson, Owner

Clint Watson was born and raised in Athens, GA and graduated from UGA in ’06 with a B.S. in Exercise Science.  He has held the most respected certification in the fitness industry since ’06.

In 2009, after many frustrating years training in gyms that cared more about profit than people , Clint decided to “right the wrongs” in the industry by starting his own fitness business.  Since then, Clint and his talented team members at Creed Fitness have changed the lives of hundreds of men and women in the Athens, GA area.

A skinny kid growing up, Clint made a decision at age 5 after seeing Arnold Schwarzenegger for the first time that he wanted to have big muscles. His fire for fitness was fueled in middle school when his football coaches introduced him to the weight room. While the other players moaned and complained about the workouts, Clint found himself enjoying the workouts more than he enjoyed football.

After a short lived plan to pursue medicine at UGA, Clint eventually came to his senses and began pursuing his passion rather than pursuing a big pay check. Clint has a burning desire to help people achieve more than they ever dreamed they could. He believes anyone can be successful by consistently practicing the basics of exercise and nutrition.

Challenging workouts prepare us for life outside the gym.
We push each other to a higher level inside and outside our building.

Michelle Peteet

Michelle has coached with Creed Fitness for over a year and loves being a part of its fitness community – striving for wholistic health and encouraging others who are looking to do the same!  You will see her co-coaching, working behind the scenes, and getting in some extra burpees in before most workouts.

Michelle grew up in Athens and graduated from Berry College with an MBA. She has a background in camp and sports programming and is currently pursuing a degree in counseling. She loves to laugh, is always up for an adventure, and enjoys seeing and experiencing new places and people!

Relationships make life meaningful.
We encourage one another and hold each other accountable to being our best.

Jo Fazio

Jo Fazio has been a part of our tribe for four years. She loves working hard to encourage others to take their fitness to the next level, and you will see her coaching, meeting with new members, and leading our Creed 101 Introductory classes.

Jo graduated from UGA in Recreation Management and stayed in Athens (thankfully!). She has a background in sporting event logistics, and she occasionally rides a unicycle, enjoys reading books, and can be seen doing handstands everyday. Her favorite saying is, “a handstand a day keeps the doctor away.”

Expert coaching helps us get further faster.
We seek wisdom and practice consistency over time.

Rob Ray

Rob began his fitness journey as a long distance runner in high school and began weight lifting to aid his pursuits in being fit and healthy.

Rob enjoys singing, non-electronic devices, and if the skies are clear, you might just catch him bird watching. He is entering his third year at the University of Georgia, studying kinesiology and sports science.

Excellence is a standard we strive for in all we do.
We strive for more and celebrate improvement.

Courtney Lamb

Courtney has loved exercise for as long as she can remember! Playing many team sports as a child she fell in love with the community and commaderie that could come through physical activity. As an adult Courtney began distance running as a way to stay mentally and physically healthy! While all of  these benefits also cause Courtney to love Creed, it is the opportunity to help others grow in their own lives that draws her to this fitness community!

Courtney has a B.S in Fitness and Health from Samford University, and a M.A. from Dallas Theological Seminary. She has spent the last 12 years working in the local church coaching leaders on how to lead small groups, and develop people individually. This experience helped Courtney learn how to better walk alongside people in their journeys, as well as encourage and coach them along they way. She is excited to see her joy of exercise, and her passion for helping people move others forward at Creed.

Courtney enjoys being outside (or anywhere!) with her husband and son, traveling, trying new restaurants, and catching up on Netflix!
